Why does it take so long for a Chinese person to say what he/she really thinks?

Why do Chinese people refer to elders with “Auntie” “Uncle” “Oldest sister” “Second sister”? Why not simply refer them to their names?

Why do some Chinese books are to be read from the top to the bottom? Any historical insights?

Why do Chinese people always say “no, it’s fine” to the things you sincerely offer?
